Q: What is the best bedding plant for sunny dry conditions?
A: Geraniums and Gazanias will tolerate these conditions but they do still need to be watered
Q: Will my pansies flower throughout the winter?
A: If the light levels are low and the winter is very cold the answer is, No. However what a show will follow, come springtime!
Q: What bedding plant can I grow in the shade?
A: Impatiens (Bizzy Lizzies) and Fuchsia's will thrive in partial shade.
Q: Do I need to protect my plants during the winter?
A: You should keep some fleece frost protection handy until mid-May (This applies to cold windy conditions too).
Q: How many plants do I need?
A: Most bedding plants are planted 9" apart
Q: Should I be using slug pellets?
A: Any tender young leaves and stems are at risk of slugs and snails. We would recomend scattering pellets immediatley after planting, remembering to read the advice on the packet first. Some pellets are not safe for use with children and pets.
