Assistant Restaurant Manager

A dynamic, positive & efficient team player is required to join the Woody's Restaurant team, five days per week, including one day at the weekend. The successful candidate will take a hands-on approach to overseeing the daily running of the restaurant operation and assist the manager, as part of the Woody's management team. Excellent customer service skills and previous supervisory/management experience in a catering environment are essential.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Responsibility for till operations
• Overseeing daily duties and delegating appropriately across the team
• Staff training and development
• Customer care
• Maintaining and improving our high standards
• Overseeing front of house and kitchen operations
• Serving customers, making coffees/hot drinks, serving food, clearing tables, general cleaning duties
• Team performance management
• Proactively managing health and safety across the department
• Assisting the Restaurant Manager in administrational duties
• Ensuring high standards of health and hygiene are maintained
• Recruitment
• Stock control
• Liaising with senior management
• Keyholding duties

Qualifications and Skills

• Level 2 or above food hygiene qualification desirable
• Good English and Maths skills
• Experience in a catering environment
• Experience in a supervisory role or above
• Computer literate
• Professional demeanour
• Calm under pressure
• Adaptable
• Flexible
