Children's Festive Pottery Painting with Cookies & Hot Chocolate
Join the "Kiln Wizard - Fire Your Imagination” team and enjoy a fun pottery painting session. It’s a great way to spend some festive, creative time with your child(ren), catch up with family & friends & to create some very personal festive gifts.
Date: Saturday 7th November 2026
Time: 9:30am-10:45am Please arrive 10-15minutes early to choose your pottery.
Where: Our private event space, in Woody’s restaurant.
Recommended for ages 4 years and over.
Ticket: £8 which includes cookies and a hot chocolate. We cannot cater for any allergies or dietary requirements. An additional fee is paid on the day directly to 'Kiln Wizard,' for the piece of pottery you would like to paint. These vary in price from £15. Cash payment is preferred, although card is accepted. This event does include festive items.
One adult can accompany each paying child into the event. Supervising adult can paint when purchasing an item on the day. Every child attending the event must purchase a ticket in advance.
'The Kiln Wizard' instructors provide gentle but active support to guide you through technique & colour application. Following your session, they will take your masterpieces back to their studio to glaze & fire them. They will then be returned to Thurrock Garden Centre within two weeks & they will contact you to let you know when they are ready. In time for Christmas. Items must be collected by 24th December 2026. If you cannot collect by then, please ensure you make contact with us. We are closed 25th December 2026 - 1st January 2027.
The session suits newcomers to ceramics as well as those who’ve done it before. It’s a lovely opportunity to spend creative time with friends and family and ideal for those seeking a distinctive gift activity. The relaxed format ensures both, skill development & creative enjoyment.
