Festive Sip & Pottery Paint
Join the "Kiln Wizard - Fire Your Imagination” team and experience a relaxed, hands-on ceramic decoration (pottery painting) session. You will learn about the core principles of glaze application with professional instruction.
A great way to catch up with friends & family and enjoy some relaxed, creative time together in the run up to the festive season.
Date: Friday 20th November 2026
Time: 10-12pm. Please arrive 10minutes early to choose your pottery.
Where: Our private event space, in Woody’s restaurant.
Ticket: £12 which includes unlimited filter coffee and tea for the duration of the session and a mince pie. An additional fee is paid on the day directly to 'Kiln Wizard,' for the piece of pottery you would like to paint. These vary in price from £15. Cash payment is preferred, although card is accepted. Festive pieces will be available on the day to decorate, if you wish.
'The Kiln Wizard' instructors provide gentle but active support to guide you through technique & colour application. Following your session, they will take your masterpieces back to their studio to glaze & fire them. They will then be returned to Thurrock Garden Centre within two weeks & they will contact you to let you know when they are ready. In time for Christmas. Items must be collected by 24th December 2026. If you cannot collect by then, please ensure you make contact with us. We are closed 25th December 2026 - 1st January 2027.
The session suits newcomers to ceramics as well as those who’ve done it before. It’s a lovely opportunity to spend creative time with friends and family and ideal for those seeking a distinctive gift activity. The relaxed format ensures both, skill development & creative enjoyment.
